Lisa applied for a Fan Ticket to meet Jessica Simpson at one of her "Reality" tour shows. So we sent Lisa on her way to Jessica's show on July 6 in Chicago, where she got to meet Jessica backstage. Read Lisa's review of the meet and greet and show below. We're glad we were able to make Lisa's dream to meet Jessica come true!
Lisa's Request:
Hello! My name is Lisa. I am a HUGE dedicated Fan of Jessica Simpson's. I first heard of Jessica when she opened for Ricky Martin back in 1999. I was blown away by her vocals, passion and emotion given in her performance(the girl can Saaannnggg). I immediately came home and began my research on the internet to learn more about her. As the years went on i watched her grow not only as a artist but as a Young adult. She continued to inspire me in many ways. After learning more about Jessica i was Hooked. I have been a fan since that night. I began collecting memorbilia and Rare items and have created a Jessica shrine (LOL). When her tour was announced on such short notice I was EXTREMELY EXCITED, yet kinda bummed because i didnt have much time to act on getting extra money together for tickets. I am a young(er) stay at home mother of 2 small kids and i am unable to get out often and do the "normal" things i used to.I have been to every radio show/concert Jessica was apart of and even have driven several hours just to see Jessica perform on her first headlining tour(Dreamchaser Tour) and was it ever worth it.I also drove 12 hours just to see Jessica in NYC for her album release. What an expierence. Defintely, Great times and memories i will NEVER forget. I am a JessFan4Life :) I attempted to get tickets for her Detroit concert on the day they went on sale, only to get disappointed and only have option for Crappy seats(BFE). Then I saw Jessica had a fanclub, offering great guarenteed seats to her fans.By the time i had gotten some money together the ticket packages had expired and no longer available for purchase. The fanclub ticket packages had expired here earlier than expected. I wouldn't mind driving a few hours and get the opportunity of a lifetime to recieve a platnium package and sit up close , not to mention meet Jessica and recieving the other goodies such as Photos, t-shirt, picture ,program etc All would go great with the collection...LOL If I were able to get this package, I will be the Happiest and most lucky Dedicated Jessica Fan alive :)

Lisa attended Jessica Simpson's July 6 show in Tinley Park, Illinois, where she finally got to meet Jessica Simpson after years of being a huge fan for the first time. Lisa reports back below of her meet and greet and amazing concert experience.

Lisa's Experience:
Wow, where do I even begin. I arrived in Chicago early morning on July 6th filled with excitement to attend that evenings Reality tour show at the Tweeter Center. After the four and a half hour drive from Michigan I checked into my hotel to catch a little nap. Nap??? Yeah, that didn't happen. LOL

Around 5:30 PM, I headed over to the Tweeter center which was only a hop, skip and a jump from my hotel. I arrived at Willcall to find the Platnium package tickets had not been delivered yet and should be there within a hour. Finally, come 6:30 PM, the passes, tickets and instructions on meet and greet were ready for us. About 6:45 PM, a very sweet lady from Fanfire had gathered the group of overly excited Jessica fans and escorted us to the backstage area. The weather was really windy and a storm was moving in fast, so Jessica requested that the meet and greet be moved indoors.

Finally, the moment had arrived. I walked into a doorway and turned slightly to the right to see a EXTREMELY beautiful, yet VERY petite young woman sitting there with a HUGE smile on her face and had opened her arms for a hug. Jessica was VERY sweet, down to earth and so wonderful to meet. She was very appreciative of her fans. She thanked me nurmerous times for coming to the show and hoped I would enjoy the show .. At this point she personalized a Reality tour Tour book and posed for 2 pictures. I presented her with a photo album I had made and put together for her. She LOVED it and gave me another hug. Sadly, the time with Jessica had come to an end as my time with Jessica was over. There were so many fans there to meet her. It was AWESOME!!!! THANK YOU JESSICA AND ECFAN.COM!!!!!

Onto the show, not one word would better describe the show other than AMAZING! Not only were we seeing Jessica perform, but her sister Ashlee was a surprise guest and was added as an opening act along with Ryan Cabrera. AND I had a FRONT ROW CENTER STAGE SEAT. Way cool right?? What more could you ask for? Ryan performed 5 songs for the Chicago crowd and then had announced Ashlee was coming up next. The crowd went crazy. Ashlee came on and performed 5 songs from her upcoming album Autobiography (in stores July 20th). Ashlee's performances ROCKED. The girl has awesome stage presence and really was into the crowd and well as her music. There was a small intermission so they could get the stage ready for none other than Jessica :).


Jessica began the show with "I Think I'm In Love With You" and performed every song FLAWLESS. She sang every song on "In this Skin" with the exception to "In This Skin" title track. She also sang "Irresistible," and "She Works Hard For The Money." During her performance of "Angels" she kept coughing and stopped singing. She had explained to the crowd how she caught a bug in her mouth but didnt swallow it as it landed on her tongue. After showing us she had spit the bug out, she held an impecable note. It was PERFECT!!!! She told us us her whole family was watching her from side-stage including Nick. (again the crowd went nuts.)

Jessica told us the first point she wanted to make was that she loves her fans. She wouldn't be doing what she was doing without her die-hard fans who support her through everything! The fans onstage asked the following questions:

*What do you like to do in Chicago?
She explained that SHOPPING is soooo great in chicago. She put a HUGE HUGE load on her american express and she keeps having to re-pack her luggage on tour since she is buying so much! She also said she had been here for two days so she went to a spa-Kurr-where she got a facial. "Is my face glowing?" Jessica followed by saying she then had some GREAT deep dish pizza at Gino's. Which was better than the bug she ate! :)

*What are you doing for your 24th birthday?
Jess said she would be in Dallas for a show with her whole family. She kept saying that 24 is OLD. Jessica explained to us that Nick was surprising her with something but she wasn't sure. MTV IS TAPING A BIRTHDAY SPECIAL so EVERYONE will see Jessica's b-day! She cant wait for Nick's gift since he is a GREAT gift giver.

*How do you feel about your sister recording an album?
Jessica replied "- I support my sister so much. This is her destiny. She has such a huge talent and it is one of the best records I have EVER listened to. I always say that she isnt following my footsteps- she is making footsteps of her own."

*How did you and Nick meet?
She answered by telling us that when they met Nick had another girl on his arm named Petushka. She was 18 at the time. She asked Nick how old he was and he said 25, she thought that was sooooooo old...but she kept thinking about him. Nick was eyeing her all night!

Jessica ended her show with a cute crowd participation of "With You," where for the most part she was on a couch. At the end she was apparently suppose to plop back and fall on the couch but she announced to the crowd that there was a huge ROACH on the couch..lol It was funny! In all I had an AMAZING TIME and wish I could relive the amazing expierence. Thank you again ECFAN.COM :)
